THE (UNFORTUNATE) TRUTH THAT
STARTED THIS

We were at a party, in a nice apartment. A friend expressed his admiration for the space and proceeded to recount a recent late night story where he met a “new friend” at a bar and escorted said friend back to his apartment.

At the bar, they had a great time speaking and drinking for hours. But within 5 min of walking into his place—she was out. No sleepover, no nightcap. It was the ultimate deal breaker.

Maybe he had said something? He’s been known to throw condescension around (as Yale Law, hedge fund-types sometimes do). But, no, he swore it was the sorry, disgusting state of his place. And it made him sad. But he had no idea how to fix the sitch.

He eventually texted his mom, who came
running to help him out…

This is an extreme example, but hand-over-heart, it was the start. The moment where we realized that there’s a need out there. And not only for sealing late night liasons, but for bachelor living in general.
